Examlane

Work in progress. Examlane is still being built, on the web and in our phone apps. Free practice is open to try now. Paid passes are not open yet. Tell us what is wrong or missing: [email protected].

Privacy

Short version: you can practice without an account, and your answers, reviews and setup never leave your browser. To unlock the paid questions, your pass code is sent to our server to check it. Like any website, our server also sees your IP address and browser type when a page loads. We keep only what we need to sell and support a pass. We do not sell data or show ads. This notice covers the Examlane website and the Examlane apps for iPhone and Android; the apps are described under "The Examlane apps". Last updated 2026-11-04.

Who is responsible for your data

YOTEZIC LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, is the controller of your personal data under UK data protection law. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration C1939800. Contact: [email protected].

At launch we use no cookies for tracking or advertising, and no analytics or advertising tags. We do not track you across other websites, and because we do not, there is no Do Not Track signal for us to act on. Examlane stores your progress and pass code in your browser because you ask it to; that storage is needed for the service. Your browser sends us the pass code and nothing else that it stores. If we ever add analytics or ads, we will update this notice first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

The Examlane apps

Examlane for iPhone

The iPhone app needs no account and no internet connection to practice. Your answers, reviews, mock test scores and setup stay on your phone, and we never receive them. The app has no ads and no tracking. Tapping a link in the app, such as Privacy Policy, Support or a state's manual, opens it in your web browser. If you tap "Send feedback" or "Report a problem with this question", your own email app opens with a message addressed to us, and nothing is sent until you send it. A feedback message carries the app's version number, and a question report carries the text of that question. We handle what you send as described under "Emails you send us, including question reports". "Clear my progress" in the app erases your progress, and deleting the app deletes everything it saved on that phone. A backup of your phone, if you make one, may also hold your progress.

Examlane for Android

The Android app needs no account and no internet connection to practice. Your progress, reviews and setup stay on your phone, and we never receive them. The app has no ads and no tracking, and it is set so that phone backups do not copy what it saves. Links and email work as in the iPhone app, and an email from the app also says it came from Android. Uninstalling the app deletes what it saved.

Who receives data

We share data only with service providers that work for us: our hosting and network provider, our payment processor, and our email provider. They use it to provide their service to us. Our payment processor also uses some payment data for its own fraud prevention and legal duties, under its own privacy notice. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law approves, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved data-transfer contract terms.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Email [email protected]; we reply within one month. We may need to keep purchase records for the time the law requires. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, phone 0303 123 1113); we would like the chance to fix things first.

If you live in the United States

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. If you live in a state with a privacy law and want a copy of your data, or want it corrected or deleted, email us. We handle those requests the same way as UK requests.

Children

Examlane is for people preparing for a commercial driver's license. It is not meant for children under 13, and you must be 18 or over to buy a pass.

Changes

We will show the date of any change at the top of this notice.
