DateWhat changed
2026-10-2922 questions reworded, in General Knowledge (7), HazMat (5), School Bus (4), Doubles and Triples (3), Air Brakes (1), Texas Commercial Rules (1) and New York Metal Coil (1). A copy check and a review found wording that was close to a state manual; it is now our own. The right answer to every one of them is the same, and so are the facts they test. One Texas explanation was also made clearer about when the length limit applies.
2026-10-28New pack: New York Metal Coil, 46 questions for the New York M endorsement test, written from New York's own metal coil manual. Each question names the manual section it comes from, and the pack was reviewed in the same steps as the others.
2026-10-27Every question now says why each wrong answer is wrong. A separate review checked every line, and every line it changed was checked again.
2026-10-27345 new questions in General Knowledge, HazMat, Air Brakes, Passenger, Doubles/Triples and Tank. Each one passed the same checks as the rest, plus a check against current federal rules where the manual is older.
2026-10-27Eight HazMat questions removed: seven tested the glossary, which the test does not cover, and one asked for a detail current federal rules no longer require in an incident report.
2026-10-27Five questions fixed: a fifth-wheel option that meant the same as the answer; a tractor protection valve question with two defensible answers; parking explosives on private property (the person in charge must now agree, not just know); the radioactive transport index limit (it does not apply to exclusive-use shipments); and a joke option in a braking question.
2026-10-25Full review of all 1,026 questions in the eight CDL packs: no wrong answer key found. Every question flagged because a second answer could be defended, or because the wording was unclear, was rewritten by hand and reviewed again.
2026-10-25One HazMat question removed: its answer matched the manual, but not current federal law.
2026-10-25Out-of-service question (General Knowledge, Section 1.3): now asks for the current federal rule; the older 90-day figure some manuals still print is no longer an option.
2026-10-25Placard size question (HazMat, Section 9.3): now asks for "about 10 inches", because manuals print 10 3/4 inches or 250 mm.
2026-10-25School bus antilock brakes question (Section 10.6): an option with a date one state prints differently was replaced.
2026-10-24Seven General Knowledge questions reworded after a second, independent check of all 161 questions in the first pack.
